In that time, two deities were inhabiting the one body. Shiva had traveled to Zepolotl where he met the disembodied spirit of Tezcatlipoca, the Smoking Mirror. This was sometime during the 50th or 60th cycle of creation, when hot dogs had not yet been discovered, so all they had to eat was people and fruit. The day that this was painted, Shiva was the surface deity but Tezcatlipoca was beginning to exert himself. The time was around noon, and he hoped he would be in time to see the great Iguana sunning itself. August was near.
